Stonebwoy Returns To The VGMA'S At Full Force & Retakes His Crown

THE GOOD NEWS

The annual Vodafone Ghana Music Awards Ceremony as usually organized by Charter House successfully took effect over the weekend with many moments of awe and magic, yet we bring more refining news to members of the BHIM camp.

After a long dismiss from the VGMA's, Ghanaians' very best reggae and dancehall act Livingstone Etse Satekla recognized by the stage name Stonebwoy had finally returned to take his rightful place which to his fans it is merely an understatement.

Stonebwoy becoming part of this year's edition of the VGMA's was something his fans least expected however it surely made calm the storm. Stonebwoy was among the A-list musicians who were granted several nominees for this year's awards event.

While we waited patiently for the past two days to provide an answer, Stonebwoy who was also one of the highlight performers at the ceremony emerged the 2nd most awarded artist of the night right after KiDi who grabbed the overall artist of the year award including three others.

Stonebwoy shockingly grabbed 3 (three) awards before the show was concluded. He took the envious reggae and dancehall artist award for the sixth time. His feature on Enjoyment minister by Dblack also won collaboration of the year.


THE UNFORGETTABLE PAST

Stonebwoy's return to the VGMA's is of necessary discussion in light to what lead to his banishing from the same awards ceremony years back.

Thus reflecting on the 2019 incident that occurred between him and his arch rival Shatta Wale which lead to their dismissal for 2years missing the plaques they possibly would have grabbed to add to thier career.

However, while they both were given another chance to participate this year, only Stonebwoy was reportedly known to have shown interest and applied for nominations inorder to participate.

Stonebwoy won 1 out of 3 of the categories he was nominated for whiles he grabbed 2 others from non voting categories.

1. (Non Voting) Music for Good – Greedy Men by Stonebwoy

2. (Non Voting) Vodafone Green Award – Stonebwoy for Greedy Men

3. Reggae/Dancehall Artist of the Year – Stonebwoy
