Black Sherif - KWAKU THE TRAVELLER LYRICS EXPLAINED

Mohammed Ismail Sherif referred by many as Blacko, Kweku Frimpong, Killa Blacko or Black Sherif is inarguably one of the biggest actually, the biggest breakout star to come out of Ghana in a very long time.

Many Ghanaians have resorted him to be the Messiah of Ghana Rap for his pure and relentless delivery in most of his songs especially his first and second sermon which brought him to the timelight outreaching the global music space.

For over a year or two Black Sherif became the subject of town expanding his fanbase massively overtime.

However Sherif is back again to do us justice. His only newest outstanding single since his unresisting delivery on the first and second sermons has been finally unleashed with the title "Kwaku the Traveller" - a masterpiece!

In "Kwaku the Traveller" we had to sit by the bench side and listen carefully as the rapper recounts his challenges after his surprisingly unexpected boom to stardom and the controversies that it came along with.

Enjoying stardom may not be as it seems to Black Sherif and could be felt clearly in his vocal delivery on "Kwaku the Traveller" .

Black Sherif reveals on encountering that which is good and those that are giving him regrets as he eventually breaks down wishing for an "impossible" rewind of his music career and life as a whole in the form of a prayer request.

Self espression as Black Sherif calls his "kind of music" at the start of the track the star clearly made out the words adding that it is what it is, let alone no man judge;

[VERSE 1]

Kweku killa I don’t lie

when I say I did it did it

Big stacks big cash my way

but still I fumble it under one minute

Still I believe man

but can’t blame myself for this sh*t

No! mandem was born for this sh*t

Of cos I f*cked up. Who never f*ck up

hands in the air.

No hands ?

Still I can’t believe

You know what I mean

I was young what do you expect from me

It is what it is

No man's born perfect as Sherif Intended to clear in his introductory verse for "Kwaku the Traveller" .

[VERSE 1] ..continued

But I keep going on more like a rolling stone

Cos I have no stopping time

Can’t nobody stop a man

Oh I keep going on more like a rolling stone

cos i have no stopping time

Can’t nobody stop a man

No I go dey run my race

I’m gonna keep my pace

I really have no one to blame

when I fall again

I can’t stand this pain

I can’t watch me fail

so anytime you pray

Remember my name

[CHORUS]

Remember you know a traveller

The name is Kweku the hustler

He’s been far away chasing gwalala

I will be back again bro me ka me nan

I swear on my life

I can’t wait to be back

I know you miss me I know

Remember you know a traveller

The name is Kweku the hustler

He’s been far away chasing gwalala

I will be back again bro me ka me nan

I swear on my life

I can’t wait to be back

I know you miss me I know

[VERSE 2]

They say

You can’t stop till it’s done

Remember you know a traveller

The name is Kweku the hustler
