Ghana Mourns The Passing of A great Leader, Jerry John Rawlings
Former President of Ghana Flt. Lt. Jerry John Rawlings Suddenly passes on.
The entire nation of Ghana and it's close African countries have been left saddened by the passing of a national hero and a transformation leader, Flt. Lt. Jerry John Rawlings.
On Thursday, November 12th, reports of Ghana's former president J.J Rawlings' passing hit the internet and serveral other media outlets.
Many Ghanaians recounted over the unpredictable loss of one the nation's greatest asset into the distasteful era.
Serveral tributes and photo fragments keep pouring in for the longest surviving ex-president of Ghana with also condolences towards his bereaved family.
J.J Rawlings passed away at the age of 73 after he succumbed to a short illness that took his final breath at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra, Ghana.
Even though his passing left a deeper hole in the hearts of Ghanaians, Rawlings' memories, hardwork and the ultimate legacy he left behind us continues to be cherished in our hearts and on the national soil to this very day.
About Ftl. Lt. Jerry John Rawlings
Born on June 22nd 1947, Jerry John Rawlings was a flight lieutenant and millitary officer who took over the adminstration of Ghana at a younger age.
He was the only Ghanaian president to rule over the country the longest.
His reign extended between periods of millitary coup from 1979 to 1993.
He served as head of state from 1993 to 2001 as the first resident of the 4th Republic.
He married his beautiful spouse Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings and has 4 children succeeding his line of generation.
